Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern use of Modern Stack Systems Time(the "App"), operated by Modern Stack Systems LLC ("Modern Stack Systems," "we," "us") at https://stack.modernstacksystems.com.

1. Who may use the App

The App is an internal business tool. Access is invite-only and limited to Modern Stack Systems team members, contractors, and other persons we authorize. We may grant, modify, or revoke access at any time.

2. Accounts

You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your sign-in method secure. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.

3. Acceptable use

You agree to use the App only for legitimate business purposes related to your work with Modern Stack Systems, to enter accurate time and billing information, and not to attempt to access data or accounts you are not authorized to access, probe or disrupt the service, or reverse engineer the App.

4. Third-party integrations

The App integrates with third-party services, each governed by its own terms:

• Google. You may sign in with Google and may optionally connect Google Calendar. Connecting Google Calendar grants the App read-only access to your calendar events to assist with time entry, as described in our Privacy Policy. You may disconnect at any time in Settings or at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions.
• Intuit QuickBooks Online. Administrators may connect QuickBooks to generate client invoices from time data.

We are not responsible for the availability or conduct of third-party services.

5. Your data

Work data you enter (time entries, project information) is business data of Modern Stack Systems. Our handling of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy.

6. Availability and changes

The App is provided "as is" and "as available." We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the App or any feature at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to preserve business records (such as issued invoices) consistent with our retention obligations.

7. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, and our total liability arising out of or relating to the App will not exceed one hundred US dollars ($100). Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access at any time. Sections 5–7 survive termination.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
